Filmmaking Outside the Box: Disconnection and Disruption

This study explores the growing trend of film and television production outside the Greater Toronto Area. Through interviews with Ontario-based industry professionals and data analysis, it examines how working beyond traditional production hubs sparks creative, technical, and financial disruptions—driven by remote work, rural migration, and emerging filmmaking hubs across the province.
